Frequently Asked Questions

We offer a complimentary initial consultation (usually 15-30 minutes) which you can schedule here. During the call, we will ask you for a general overview of your legal problem and provide a high-level perspective and general guidance. We do not provide legal advice during the initial consultation. If you would like to work with us, you will be asked to sign an engagement agreement. We will set up a call or a meeting to discuss details and review any documents you may have that relate to your matter.

We offer flat fees for certain short-term engagements. For the majority of the projects, we bill hourly. Upon completion of hourly billed services, you will receive a detailed, itemized bill showing all the work done on your matter. In case of a flat fee billing, you will pay a stated sum for agreed-upon services and no itemized accounting will be provided. Unless otherwise agreed, the hourly fee basis is the presumed fee arrangement.
We require an advance to begin to process your matter. We will hold these funds in a general trust account until earned by us. We will charge our fees and any filing fees and costs against the advance and credit them on our billing statement. Any unused portion of the advance will be refunded to you at the conclusion of our services or termination of this engagement.
